Our story begins in 1982. Since then, our lives have paralleled without us even knowing it. Brian and I met in Junior High when we were 12 years old. We had a few classes together and hung around in the same crowds. In high school, we dated for a while, broke up but still remained friends. Our senior year, we both started the work program through school where we went to school for half a day and then went to work. I started working at Baker's Shoes where Brian eventually started working also. We never dated again, just stayed friends and coworkers. I eventually left the shoe store and Brian stayed and became manager. Shortly after that, he joined the Navy and was there for 6 years. He travelled the world and I stayed here in Missouri jumping from one job to the next. Years later, I became a Respiratory Therapist for a local hospital. It was getting close to Christmas time and my boss wanted me to put together a party. I called several places and finally decided on a place here in Lee's Summit. We were there having a grand old time and I decided I needed another drink and with no waitress in sight, went up to the bar myself. Well, who's standing at the bar? Brian! 20 years just came rushing back at me! I couldn't believe my eyes! We hugged and said our hello's and eventually became inseperable the rest of the night. I knew, at that moment, that he was my guy! He was hesitant at first but eventually came around! We started haning out more and more and then we moved in together and got engaged last June. We are so in love, no two people were more made for one another than us, it's just amazing!

Our wedding is set for September 5th, 2009. We are getting married at Hotel Bothwell in Sedalia, MO. The theme for our wedding is "Old Hollywood", kind of a 1920's feeling.
